2006 Volvo Xc70 Ocean Race.
His name is Sven and he was born in Gothenburg Sweden on March 9, 2006.
He was imported to the US on March 29, 2006 and was driven by the owner's wife of the dealership Stillman Volvo in West Chester, Pennsylvania. On January 18, 2007 with 6,233 miles he was sold to the first owner, who had seen him on display on the showroom floor. Smitten, she decided then and there to trade in her 1998 Volvo V70 (Green) and throw the ski racks she was going to put on her Green V70, on the XC70 instead. For the first 16 years of his life; Sven was driven by that family, who drove him from Paddle Tennis Competitions to Colleges in Boston. and Florida...(he even trailered a horse :O). But alas, in getting older Sven needed more and more work, and had been demoted to third car status. Eventually, he was donated to an auto auction, where we purchased him at 207,740 miles on December 22, 2021. We paid $2,500, and quickly had him imported to Texas-where he now lives. Over the past almost 4 years-we have driven him 21,700 ish miles. He has followed me to school, trips around Texas (and once to Oklahoma); he is a valued member of our family, and he will continue as our third car for a long time.
