The bodywork continues at a rapid pace on the Eurovan, and I got the call today it should be ready for pickup tomorrow. The shop doing the work addressed one other area that was 50/50 in terms of them getting to it, which was a bad dent in the tailgate that had begun to rust.
More metalwork than expected was necessary to repair the rust in the driver's side sill; no surprise there. Fresh metal was cut and welded in and painted. With this work done, the only area left to address is to simply replace the rear bumper cover, as the passenger rear corner is cracked and there's no easy way to fix it.
This was not the most essential work I needed to do, but the rust on the sill was only going to get worst. Since I know the Eurovan isn't leaving our garage any time soon, it was an easy argument for getting the work done.
