This BMW R90/6 project has been kicking around for a while. It actually belongs to my uncle, who has kept it stored indoors for years after beginning an initial tear-down and rebuild.

One of the key issues is a previous owner hacked off the fork lock, which is what prompted the initial tear-down. As we've gotten into this project, we kicked around a few different ways to tackle this, including sourcing a replacement frame. This was more for getting an eyeball on what the original fork lock looked like, but we're actually going to restart this project where we left off.

This includes the fabrication of a plug to fill the gap where the fork lock once resided. Then, my uncle will weld it, blend, then prime and paint it, which will repair the damage incurred all those years ago.
