This is a 1988 Peugeot 505 Wagon built by a seasoned Peugeot master technician.
It features a 3.0L "PRV" V6 swapped in from a Eagle Premier sedan. The PRV was shared across the Dodge, Volvo, Peugeot, and Renault families, and was seen in 2.8L form in the 505 sedan. This engine is easily serviced with strong parts supply and is a willing companion to the five-speed manual gearbox.
The 505 also features an independent rear suspension, also swapped in from a sedan. The wagon comes with ABS brakes and the desirable European market headlamps. The '88 body wears the later '89 bumpers and lower air dam, which is a huge visual improvement.
The interior features black leather seats with the folding rear wagon seat that opens up a ton of space.
The previous owner to me replaced the cap and rotor, and also repaired the shift linkage. In my time, I have replaced the thermostat, water pump, and battery, and also removed and re-cored the radiator.
The Peugeot drives extremely nice and has minimal flaws. The rear wiper doesn't work; the passenger side front window doesn't go down; and the heat only works on the highest setting (a new resistor is included).
