Next steps on the Dakota R/T

The big outlier in the garage at the moment is the 1998 Dakota R/T. I dropped it with Jay Gaston, the same mechanic who worked his magic on the junkyard-find Trooper RS. Turns out Jay worked at a Dodge dealer when these trucks were new, so I'm sure this is going to be a walk in the park compared to a long-dead Trooper.

The plans are pretty straightforward: make it run a bit better due to an occasional stumble, install a Belltech Suspension lowering kit, address the front end, which definitely needs new control arms (like every Dakota) and perform a general tune-up so we can get a baseline on maintenance, including water pump, thermostat, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fan clutch.

If all goes well in this phase, I'll also get the wheels refinished, and buy some new tires - and perhaps make some interior improvements. Then, who knows?
