Excellent platform for a track car build. This 1987 Toyota Supra is the naturally-aspirated variety, with a 7M-GE inline-six under the hood. The 5M-GE and 7M-GE were some of the better engines Toyota built in the 80s, and this one has just over 129,000 original miles.
It has the preferred 5-speed manual gearbox. No rust to speak of. The engine still turns freely by hand but you should still count on performing the full assortment of mechanical refreshes as the car has been sitting for some time.
Doors open and close nicely and there's no evidence of prior accident damage as far as we can tell. The interior is in far better condition that you'd expect, owing to the fact that the seals are doing their job and keeping the cabin dry. No funky smells, either, and I don't think the mice have had their way with this car. The rear hatch carpeting is in really nice shape.
Amazingly, it returns a really solid score on the Autocheck report which shows history in Florida before evidently moving to north Georgia. The Supra is far cheaper to buy and own than its turbocharged sibling, so we think this one makes a lot of sense as a project car on the cheap that will likely not lose much in the way of value.
