My first Italian

The pressure was building; I had to do it. I have never owned an Italian car and now I do. After a few months of searching, I not only found a low mileage Milano - I found a low mileage Milano Verde with a 3.0L V6, limited slip, and full Recaro interior.

I actually had a wanted ad up on the Alfa BB forums for a while, and a guy from Connecticut responded to it. He said he had two Verdes in a shipping container; I excitedly said I wanted to check them out, and then I didn't hear from him for three months. He got back in touch and I wasted no time going to see the car, which was far better than expected.

Of course, it didn't run, but the bodywork was largely sound - just two rust spots, not bad for a northern Alfa - and it was unmessed with, aside from what looked like the remnants of a minor front end collision that was repaired eons ago (lousy paint on the hood and a dent that wasn't fixed). Overall, it seemed worthy of taking a chance on, especially since Rhode Island is still a no-title state for the time being when it comes to cars over 10 years old.
