Rust-free and wonderful Eurovan

I had forgotten how satisfying bodywork is. It's been years since I've had a car in a bodyshop to get some cosmetic flaw fixed, whether it be actual accident damage, general paint correction, or worrisome rust. It's really way better than even a suspension install in terms of the visual impact, because you effectively forget how good the vehicle would have looked without that rust bubbling beneath the surface. Everyone expects a lowered car to look good; it's harder to predict that wave of euphoria that comes from picking up a project with fresh paint.

I did a good job of ignoring the Eurovan's external flaws for some time, which are thankfully limited but still quite annoying. They included the aforementioned rust issues in the driver's side sill and a dent in the tailgate that went untreated and eventually began to rust. The bodyshop I mentioned as being the holy grail of welding and paint shops did a phenomenal job of fixing both of these areas and upon picking the Eurovan up, I was struck by the tremendous difference these two small fixes made.

From a cosmetic standpoint (on the outside), there's just one more area of concern which is to replace the rear bumper cover. The previous owner noted an encounter with a snow bank shattered the passenger side rear corner, so I'll take it over to an insurance shop I patronize that should be able to knock it out in a day.
