Well, the 1991 Saab 900 Turbo SE convertible is just about ready for its close-up. I had it detailed this week by my friend Jarrad at Top Notch Auto Detailing in Warwick; he was able to correct some ills, but not all.
It presents well but wasn't exactly the transformation I was expecting. It's largely because of the color: it's eye-catching no matter which way you look at it, so it's not as if the Monte Carlo Yellow paint looks more yellow. It pops no matter what. The good news is the engine bay looks way cleaner; the leather is softer; and the rubber OEM floormats look way better than they did when I dropped the car off.
But really, the best thing about this car is the way it drives. It drives so well that I hope the next owner is able to come and drive it. Conntech Saab did a great job getting the drivetrain dialed in, and it just feels good.
I looked for a Monte Carlo Yellow Saab 900 Classic for quite some time, but it's time to move onto other projects.
